Thanksgiving part 2 and 3 months old!

Image
Grandpa Bert! Planning for Black Friday shopping. Where's the Babies R Us ad? Meet Great Aunt Gail! Kenley says "Thanks for the tutu Gail!" Meeting Great Aunt Mary! Lucy is admiring the new cute outfit Bebe bought me! On Saturday, Kenley turned 3 months old! In celebration, we watched the Apple Cup. Here's Kenley telling Grandpa Bert: "Go Huskies!" We crushed the Cougs so we decided to play instead. "A bunch of babies could beat that dirty coug football team!" Celebrating with Aunt Michal! On Sunday we visited Marianne and Dave in Chehalis on our way back to Seattle! Here's a video of Kenley playing with Grandpa Bert - she thinks he is pretty cool! (VIDEO) Now we are home safe and sound. Michael is staying home with the baby while I am at work! So far everything is great on both sides! The baby plays all day with daddy and so far has not reported any complaints to the management. I love my job and other than trying to get up early so I can ge...

We had a great day until this happened...

12 Weeks!

Kenley is 12 weeks today! We had a fun and busy week! Some highlights: Kenley and Michael came to see me sworn into the bar on Wednesday at the Court of Appeals. The judges held a nice little swearing in ceremony for the incoming clerks - five of us were sworn in at the same time! Here's our little family: I'm all sworn in! Here I am saying to oath with five other clerks from the court. All of the judges except two were on the bench for this "special session," although my judge, Judge Marlin Appelwick, was out of town so I was introduced by Judge Dwyer. Here are Michael and Kenley getting ready to watch - what a pro dad with his diaper bag, bjorn, and blackberry! Kenley was very good during the ceremony although she squawked a little during the beginning. She quieted down for my introduction. Each judge introduced his or her clerk and allowed the clerk to introduce my family, although when my turn came around it was quickly pointed out by the presiding Chief Judge th...

Another baby playdate!

Image
I just have to post these pics because I think these are so funny. They are some pics Ali took at our latest baby playdate with the moms from Centering. From left to right this is Avery on the bumpo chair, kenley in the swing, Jillian in the exersaucer, and Luther on the playmat. Parker came to play later, he isn't in the picture. The babies say "we are not slugs anymore!!" It is sooo funny and awesome to watch all the babies grow bigger, especially Jillian, who we visited the day she was born! There are a few other pics: of Kenley and I wearing matching shirts, Kenley "playing" with Jillian, and Ali doing the two-baby juggle. She's got mad mom skillz! It is so great to sit around with other moms and swap birth stories, baby updates, and tips. I'll miss these get togethers when I go back to work! Hopefully Michael will continue to meet with the moms?

A little someone has been talking up a storm, as the above video will prove. Dad is writing this post - a first...A big new development in Kenley's little world this past week - she has moved into her own room! That's right, the little bugger began sleeping in her own (organic) bed this week. That meant mom had to set up a radio system that gets more feedback than a Jimi Hendrix performance at Woodstock...but like that performance, it's killer. Kenley seems to like having a little space - she gets to munch on her hands and talk to the walls without being bothered now. I mean seriously, take a look at this kid, how could you not just love her? We hosted dinner club this week - a new monthly event where many of our lovely friends get together and make dinner for each other with a theme. Our theme was "Harvest Food" to play on our fall weather (though here in Seattle, our weather went from summer to winter-like quicker than Kenley can say goo-goo-gah-gah). Here is th...

10 Weeks!

Image
Kenley was 10 weeks old on Friday! We have had some pretty stormy weather so we haven't been up to anything too exciting. Here's Kenley watching the world series with her daddy! We all went out for a walk despite the bad weather! On Saturday we celebrated "cousin" Jack Friesen's 3rd birthday party! Kenley learned how great birthdays can be - presents and friends and cakes! And party hats! Thanks Kendra and Dee for the super cute ducky dress Kenley showed off at the party! Love to you all!

Fishy Friends

Here's a video of Kenley smiling at the fish on her swing - it was so cute I had to take a video and post immediately!

Happy Halloween!

Hope everyone had a great halloween! Kenley dressed as a "Peanut" M&M, of course! Aunt Michal made her a super cute costume, with a little help from Rachel. We had a busy day celebrating! On Friday, we attended Michal's classroom halloween party. Here she is with Kenley in costume. The kids LOVED meeting "Baby Kenley!!!!" We did a little fall photo shoot. Thank you Kendra and Dee for the "i love my mummy" shirt!! For our first party, we went to our Centering friends Ali and Andy's house in Ballard to celebrate with our baby friends. Here's a photo of Ali and Jillian the Lion! Kenley's baby friends! Clockwise: Kenley (Peanut M&Ms), Jillian (lion), Avery (Pumpkin), Sawyer (Colorful worm?), Parker (Pea Pod), and new friend Hannah (Polar Bear). Friend Parker is finally off his oxygen! Very exciting! Peanut loves being a Peanut M&M! After we visited with baby friends, we headed up to Mill Creek to celebrate with the Friesens. Here ar...
