14 Months: Halloween!

Image
Happy Halloween! We had a superfun weekend full of events - and some great photos! Kenley was a ladybug for Halloween! Here, we are getting ready to walk to Kenley's day care for the Halloween party on Friday night! Here we are hearing stories and singing songs at the party. Kenley loves the daily songs! Here's Kenley sitting on teacher Veronica's (an owl) lap while everyone sings "Five Little Pumpkins"! After the party, we headed home to pack and drive to Portland with Aunt Michal! Kenley was very good and slept all the way there. Here's Kenley enjoying some quality time with Great Grandma Dorothy and Great Grandpa Bert on Saturday morning. Then, it was off to Dallas, OR to see our childhood best friend Kristy get married. Here are Tessa, Michal, and I ready for the ceremony to start. Kenley was very good during the ceremony, except for loudly announcing "HOT" while pointing at the heat lamps and loudly stating "YAY!" during the beautiful...

13 Months + 3 weeks: Rain!

Hello everyone from rainy, rainy Seattle! We had a fun weekend despite all the rain! Here are some pics of us playing out in the neighborhood in the rain! Kenley LOVES jumping in puddles, so luckily we just got some rain boots in the mail for her (future cute pics I'm sure). Here's daddy and Kenley playing together. Playing with some of the neighbor's pumpkins. Checking out another neighbor's chickens. We did a few non-Kenley related activities this weekend. Michal and I went to our 10 year high school reunion on Friday and had a great time! it was very fun to reconnect with everyone. On Saturday night, Aunt Michal and Uncle Jason babysat (thank you!) so that Michael and I could celebrate our friend Bryna's 30th birthday! We had fun going out to Purple for dinner and then dancing! Wheee look at us! Very cool. Kenley continues to wow us with her language and comprehension. She picked up a few more signs (bird) and a few more words. It seems like she learns two ...

13 Months + 3 Weeks: A mish-mash of fun!

Hi Everyone! It has been two weeks since our last blog, so we have a lot to talk about! On Tuesday, we went to Bellevue High to see Megan's varsity soccer game against Liberty! The game ended in a tie, but we were excited to see Megan play! Kenley was intrigued by the game, but then mostly wanted to run around and try to run onto the field. It was chilly, so Kenley had to wear her winter (Red Sox) hat. "Goooo Megan!!" Here's Kenley eating pizza on Friday night - yum! (She looks so old in this picture!!) Daddy and Kenley eat pizza together. This weekend, Bert, Beth, Rachel, Michal, Tessa, and Kenley headed to Portland. Bert and Beth spent some quality time with the Portland crew while us girls headed out for Kristy's bachelorette!! Here's a pic of the girls getting ready for a fun night out on the town! Kristy is getting married in two weeks in Dallas, OR - we can't wait! Kenley had a great time playing with the fam, enjoying Grandpa's garden, and wa...

13 Months + 1 Week: Music and Fun!

Image
Hi everyone! Last weekend, we went to the Tiny Tots symphony concert at the Seattle Symphony! A little music program designed for ages 0-5, we sang and signed along with songs and listened to the instruments in the quartet. We also had a chance to explore lots of musical instruments in the lobby before the show. Kenley loved playing the xylophone. Then, Katy came over for girls night and we took Kenley to the UW volleyball game! Sadly, I accidentally deleted our pictures! Kenley has added the sign "milk" and the word "hot" to her vocabulary! She also has started falling asleep on her own at night - yahoo!! She looooooves to read books. She now has a bottle, then we put in her in crib to read books until she conks out! Apparently she is getting too good at falling asleep, because her teachers reported that she fell asleep in her high chair at day care today! - after stealing apples from the other kids off their plates (they are studying apples this week). Here a...
