Happy 2 months Kenley! Our little Peanut seems like hardly a Peanut anymore - See these shots showing how big she has gotten!

2 months

Today we took Kenley to the doctor for her two month check up. She is now 23 inches long and 10 pounds 14 ounces. She is in the 76th percentile for height, 52nd for weight, and 81st for head circumference. Kenley also got her shots - 3 pokes and an oral vaccine! She definitely did not have fun - her screaming reached a volume and pitch we have not yet heard from her - but after some cuddles and a snack at the boob we managed to leave the office without any tears. So far she has been a little quicker to cry than normal and doesn't want to be put down but other than that seems fine. We expect her to be out of sorts for a few days. Here is a picture from our appointment, although this crying was actually before the shots! :)

Other than that, Kenley continues to be the cutest, smartest, sweetest baby we have ever seen. She has almost mastered rolling from tummy to her back, although sometimes she forgets that she knows how to do it. I think she is starting to work on rolling from back to front - she can wiggle her legs to get to her side, she now just needs to complete the process. She has started to wiggle around - last night I found her in a different place in her bassinette than where I left her! We get in quality tummy time every day, which she doesn't like that much but she is developing some good head and neck control. We also finally bought a "playmat," which hangs a bunch of toys over her head. She has been chattering quite a bit, but seems to enjoy talking to the animals and toys hanging over her head while moving her arms and legs constantly. I included a video of her chatter and noises below. We think she also talks to her feet in the bath and in the car. We are now working on teaching her to "bat" at toys - Michael just told me as I was writing this that she is batting at a toy they are playing with and that she is definitely going to be very smart. :)
She loves going out and about, so we put her in either our sleepy wrap or our baby bjorn, and we cruise Greenlake or our neighborhood or go shopping. Her favorite part of the day is definitely the bath, which we do every night before bed - she can spend as much as 45 minutes just splashing around, waving her arms and kicking her feet. She only cries when it is time to get out! Then comes bedtime - she is pretty good at putting herself to sleep sometime around 9:00 or 10:00pm. She regularly sleeps all night long, normally waking up twice at 2:00am and 5:00am, and often just once at 5:00am or so.
I've been trying to catch a photo of her smile, here are a few attempts, and some other fun pics - and a video!
