Week 28 - Third Trimester, Finals, and the Oregon Coast!

Image
Some big news this week! First of all, last week I took my last finals! I am (pretty much, except for a few wrap up things), done with school. Bar review starts on Wednesday June 3, and will continue until the Bar Exam at the end of July. Graduation is June 14. Here's a 27 week picture that I didn't get a chance to post last week. I mostly wanted to post it so you could appreciate the cute shirt Michal got me for Mother's Day! :) In celebration, Michael and I decided to sneak away to the Brehm Family Beach House in Rockaway, OR. We had a great overnight stay with Grandma and Grandpa Brehm on Wednesday night. Once we got to the beach, we felt really lucky - we were able to go on Thursday and Friday, we had beautiful weather, AND michael won $15 at the local Lions Friday night Bingo! We love the beach: we got to relax, enjoy the sand, rike bikes, play ping pong, eat fish, etc. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for letting us stay at your house - we can't wait to return with ...

Centering: Peanut Check-In

Image
Just got back from our monthly centering check in with our midwives. All signs are good, Peanut has a strong heartbeat and is growing just like she should. My uterus is measuring a little big but the midwife was not concerned, so we'll assume its because of her huge brain (she's a genius)! We also did a glucose check for gestational diabetes and will get the results back next time. In other news, we are very happy to report that Michael's dad Richard is home from the hospital after a very successful liver transplant. Hooray! No new pics since our last post of the belly, so here's some pictures of our beautiful yard and our other baby TJ getting some pre-baby quality time in.

26 Weeks: Future Fan

This week we took Peanut to her first in utero baseball game!

Happy Birthday Rachel!

Image
Peanut has a bed! For Rachel's birthday we pulled together a team of Rachel fans to get Peanut a crib! After making us a delicious birthday dinner, the boys helped us tackle crib construction... Here are the happy parents with a safe and cute sleeping space for baby! We immediately had to put in all the bedding pieces that R&M got last weekend! It looks so cute! Now Rachel just has to save her pennies for that organic crib mattress that she really wants... After all that work, we really needed some birthday beer! And water....

24 Weeks: Camping and Michael Feels Baby Kickin'!

Image
Hi everyone! We had a busy weekend this weekend! Michal and Jason took us camping in LaConner Friday night. The weather was gorgeous on Friday and on Saturday... not so great but we still enjoyed the beautiful tulips. Saturday night we had a visit from Cousin Josie and went to brunch on Sunday to celebrate her 19th birthday, wow! In Peanut news, the baby is now big enough to throw a hefty punch, which means Michael has been able to feel her kicking and punching! I don't know why, but this feels like a major milestone to me. Michal wanted to feel her too but she must have been too shy to kick for her aunt. Hopefully soon.

Nesting!

Michael and I have been nesting, and we scored this great nursery set! We bought it from a family in Snohomish off Craigslist! Here's the promo shot. And here's the pics of the actual items - Peanut will have the cutest baby room ever!!!
