Aunt Michal says: We can't believe it's been a year since this little munchkin arrived in our lives!

Hi everyone! Just a few days until Kenley's first birthday! Wow! This week's news is that she finally popped a third tooth (on top), with a few more ready to peek out any second. She also has really started to play with words - we think we have caught her saying "up" and "dada" and actually meaning it. She is still babbling quite a few words, including mama, cat, and anything else she happens to be mimicking. She also suddenly loves stuffed animals, including a stuffed monkey and teddy bear. Oh, and they report that she has become the little helper at day care, including helping pat the other babies on the bum to put them to sleep. Hi everyone! We are having beautiful HOT weather here in Seattle! In the 90s! Here is a picture of sunset on Friday night near our house - amazing! One of our favorite people, Emily, was in town from DC and came to visit! So great to see her! Kenley and Emily loved reading stories and playing together. On Saturday, we had a busy day. We first got dressed and took Kenley for first birthday portraits! I can't share any yet - but I will! Then we went to Jillian's first birthday - beach party! We saw some of our favorite babies - and suddenly everyone is walking! Kenley and Avery. This is right after Kenley gave Avery a big hug - we just missed catching it on camera! Hi everyone! This week we celebrated Michael's 29th Birthday! Here is a pic of Daddy and baby - Kenley and I got Michael tickets to a concert and took him to WingDome (with Grandpa, Peter, and Bill). Here is a picture of a new outfit from Rike, Duncan and Finn - an early birthday present - very cute (you can't see the side with Minnie Mouse on it). On Friday night, we went to Grandpa's house for dinner with family friends. Here is Kenley passed out before we even head for home. The next morning, Kenley shows off her new jammies - handmade by Michelle S.! Thanks Michael and Michelle! Michael had to work on Saturday, so Kenley and I walked Greenlake and then came home and had flautas for lunch. Kenley seems to love mexican flavors - just like when she was in the womb! Hi Everyone! We celebrated Kenley's 11 month birthday on July 28! Wow! Here's our pink bear picture! Compare to six months and nine months . She's getting so big! And it is getting hard to have her hold still for the photo! The weather here has been BEAUTIFUL, so we have been spending a lot of time in the backyard. Here is Kenley playing in her squirty pool! We also went to the Greenwood Seafair parade, celebrated Sara Campbell's graduation and completion of the bar, had a cook-fest at Mom and Dad's house making a bunch of food for the freezer, and other good fun! I don't have any good pics of those events - but they were fun! Tonight, we celebrated Megan Young's 15th Birthday (which is on Tuesday).
