Gymnastics Class!

Image
Hi Everyone! Ever since we watched the Olympics, Kenley has wanted to take gymnastics classes. (OMG OMG GABBY SHAWN JOHNSON GABBY OMG OMG). So we signed her up (thanks in part to her birthday gift from Mary Howard and Megan - thank you!!). We bought her the smallest leotard ever and sent her off.  Day 1 of Class: So excited waiting for class to start!  Checking out the gym. Off to class with Coach Sierra! Kenley's friend Rosalie, who used to go to her school but just moved to a preschool program, has class at the same time but in the bigger kids class.  Gymnastics just became that much more awesome. Day 2 of class: Getting ready for class. Mini rings! Mini bars! Awed by the awesomeness of the gym. Mini beam! She absolutely loves it! She has reported that her favorite thing is jumping on the big trampoline, but she also loves doing the "bat hang" on the bars. Every day she asks us if it is Saturday yet so she can go to clas...

New (Well, mostly) Deck!

Once upon a time, we had a old deck.  It was stupidly designed and rotting in places. One day, two men with sledgehammers and a sawzall came in and demolished it.  And then replaced it (well, all except the framing).  Here is our new and improved deck! It is smaller but much better. And they ate tomatoes from the garden and lived happily ever after. Thanks Papa Bert for all your hard work on our new deck!

Birthday at the Farm!

For Kenley's actual birthday on August 28, Michael, Michal, Lily and I took the day off and headed to Remlinger Farm! What a fun place! We rode ponies, rode mini rides, fed farm animals, jumped in hay, rode a train, and generally ran around like crazy! The kids were pooped!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Kenley!

We celebrated Kenley's birthday at a party on August 26 at her favorite local park! Lily is ready for the party with her present for KK. Lily loves the swings - just like her big cousin! Kenley's favorite "big kid" from her school, Rosalie, pushes her on the swing. We invited all of Kenley's friends from school. Family joined us too! "Hide and seek" was a favorite activity! All the kiddos! (Day care kids plus Finnegan and Lily!) Time for cake! (ice cream cake of course!) Thank you everyone for all the great presents! Playing with presents at the end of the party. Phew! A great celebration of KK's 3rd!
