A little someone has been talking up a storm, as the above video will prove.

Dad is writing this post - a first...A big new development in Kenley's little world this past week - she has moved into her own room! That's right, the little bugger began sleeping in her own (organic) bed this week. That meant mom had to set up a radio system that gets more feedback than a Jimi Hendrix performance at Woodstock...but like that performance, it's killer. Kenley seems to like having a little space - she gets to munch on her hands and talk to the walls without being bothered now.

I mean seriously, take a look at this kid, how could you not just love her?

We hosted dinner club this week - a new monthly event where many of our lovely friends get together and make dinner for each other with a theme. Our theme was "Harvest Food" to play on our fall weather (though here in Seattle, our weather went from summer to winter-like quicker than Kenley can say goo-goo-gah-gah).

Here is the wonderful table that Rachel set for the get-together...man, that woman sure understands the true meaning of elegance/using every wedding gift you received at the same time.

Kenley was, of course, a hit at the dinner with all of her surrogate "Aunts" and "Uncles" taking times holding her, goofing around with her, and quietly panicking at the notion that the Kings are parents. Here is "Uncle Rory" proudly serving the soup he so diligently stirred...

Just one more week for Kenley to hang out with Mom all alone at home during the day...then Rachel heads off to start her (killer) job working for the Judge and the "Daddy Era" begins. We're thinking it will involve a lot of time spent on learning the history of the Boston Red Sox and the American Presidency. In other words, kid better nap this week, the real education on things that matter most is about to begin.
