Daddy here, tuning in live from 82.8 FM, the KEK network... So our little monkey had an interesting week! Per Auntie MyMy's post from last week, Rachel and I returned from Whistler to find a midly stinky princess! And there were two components to this stinkiness - first, grumpy and second, diarrhea! Poor thing! Needless to say, the latter component of her stinkiness led us to keeping her home from daycare on Tuesday. And we had a fun day. heading off to the zoomasium at the Woodland Park Zoo, where, after staring at a few pictures of bears, Kenley decided she had to go check out the real deal. So the two of us hiked off into the wilderness (i.e. down the pathway about 75 yards) to check some out! We sent her back to daycare on Wednesday, only to get a call mid-day saying that she was running a fever and that she needed to head home. This began a long day at home, with KK falling asleeping on Daddy from 4 to 5, waking up at 5 when mommy came home, crying for 30 minutes,...

While Kenley stayed home with the family... Michael and I took off to beautiful Whistler, where we did all kinds of kid-free things, like eating in bars, tubing, and sleeping in! It was amazing! Thanks to everyone who helped out with the baby while we were gone!

Guest Blogger: Aunt MyMy This weekend Rachel and Michael actually took some time to themselves! They headed to Whistler for the weekend and left Kenley with Aunt MyMy, Uncle Jaycee, BeBe and Papa. Perfect timing since Great-Grandma Cay and Great-Aunt Cathie are in town for the weekend! Kenley has been a perfect baby and even slept allllll night. Lucky MyMy and Jaycee!! We are really into the Llama books right now. Here's Kenley and Jason cracking up over "Llama Llama MAD at Mama!" Kenley got lots of practice going up and down the stairs at both houses! Papa took Kenley to check the mail (her favorite activity). We actually had a beautiful sunny weekend, so Papa taught Kenley to find her shadow. Kenley loves looking at pictures at practicing the names. She especially likes to see Baby Mama's bare bum in this album! Kenley allowed BeBe to read Llama to her 1000 times. Very therapeutic. Here are some pics from today's cupcake decorating party/valentines day party! We have been working on our Valentines for the last few weeks. Here are Kenley and Aunt Michal putting them together. ("Eyeball!" "Elmo!") Kenley counts up the finished products! "One, two, three, four, five elmos!"). Ready to go! Here we are at the party! Kenley first sampled the local playdough. Here she is tossing sprinkles everywhere while all the kids get ready to decorate cupcakes.' Observing another kid's strategy. Cupcake accomplished! "Yummy!" After cupcakes, she passed her valentines out to everyone. It was SO cute. I thought she wouldn't get it but she totally did. I'd hand her one and say, "Take this to Eli!" and she'd walk over to the kid and say "Elmo! Elmo! Elmo!" until the kid finally took the valentine. So funny! Happy (early) Valentines Day everyone!!
