32 Weeks: 8th Month and Sunny Seattle

Image
Happy sunday everyone! Today we hit 32 weeks - we are heading into the 8th month. Two months to go until P-day, and she should be about 3.5-4 pounds now. Meanwhile, we are savoring our beautiful weather. We canoed/kayaked with Michal and Jason, played some kickball (well, I watched), and had a picnic at Gasworks Park with Katy and Marcus. We have centering every two weeks now so we are headed there on Tuesday. Will update again soon!

31 Weeks: Happy Father's Day!

Image
Hello and happy father's and father's-to-be day to everyone! We celebrated michael's father-to-be day with some really fun stuff, including shopping for nursing bras and going to Babies R Us to finalize our baby registry! So fun! :) (We are now totally registered! Check us out at babiesrus.com!). He was a good sport about it though. Then we went to our favorite wing place, Wing Dome, and decided that might have to be an annual father's day tradition. Otherwise, we kept it pretty low key. I think Peanut is on a major growth spurt which pretty much put me down for the count. Hello, lower back pain and heartburn! Must be the third trimester. Michal got Michael a great tshirt for father's day, unfortunately my camera is out of batteries so we'll have to make do with the etsy photo. See below! Hope everyone had as great a weekend as we did!

30 Weeks: Graduation, Shower, and Centering

Hi everyone! We had a very, very busy weekend! Rachel's mom and dad came into town and stayed with us for the weekend, which was very fun! First up - Peanut's first jaunt across a graduation stage - in utero, of course. We celebrated my graduation from law school on Sunday. Here's a very proud Michael with his graduate. Thanks for the pink roses, Michal, and thanks for the lei, Dad! Thanks to all the family members who sat through the ceremony - and only two slept! (i'm not revealing which two). Graduates and moms, who couldn't have done it without! Here are law school friends, from left to right, Duncan and Rike Connelly, us, and Christina Wong and John Morrison. Here are Rike and I showing off our bellies - Rike is due in a month! And if that wasn't enough fun, we also had Michal's friends shower at our house on Monday evening - here are a picture some of the lovely bridesmaids (we miss you Shaina!), and Miss P of course. To top off the weekend, we ...

Changing Table/Dresser!

Image
My mom, Michal and I did a little baby shopping this weekend and scored some great stuff at the consignment store, including a changing table! See the picture below, it fits perfectly and matches the other furniture! Now we have all the major furniture in place! Aunt Michal also had some fun shopping in the "overalls bin" and picked out quite a few cute new-to-Peanut outfits. We had a very busy weekend, will update with more when I gather all the pictures!

Week 29 - Baby Room!

Image
Hi everyone! Michal and Jason came over this weekend to help me with some office-to-baby room conversion! We cleared out all the office furniture (and by "we" I mean "they" since they wouldn't let me carry anything), did some intense cleaning, and put up all of our stuff to create a total baby space. Our "alphabet soup" set is up and looks super cute! Jason even hung the valances for us and set up baby's little stereo. You'll have to imagine the rocker in the corner by the window, which we have but it is currently stored in our tv area in the basement. We really just need a dresser (which we will also use as a changing table) for it to be complete - and, of course, a baby! Everyone is happy except TJ, who lost some of his favorite spots in the process. Thanks to Aunt Michal and Uncle Jason for all their help! Michael the boy escaped the move by heading to Eastern Washington to spend the weekend on a houseboat on Lake Roosevelt in celebration of...
