Christmas 2012

Hello everyone! Sorry that things have been quiet on the old blog recently.  We have been busy (and tired!).

Here are a few photos from this holiday season.  There are quite a few more (better) photos over on Michal's blog.

Here, we have selected the perfect tree (from our local nursery).

We brought it home and decorated it!

Kitty loves it when we get our Christmas decorations, including his Santa hat.

Kenley loved decorating the tree!

We also had the chance to celebrate Hanukkah with our friend Maddy (and Kelsey and Charles).

Finally, it is Christmas Eve! We spent the night at Bebe and Papa's house to be ready for Christmas morning at their house.

Kenley asking "Can we open the presents?" for the 1,000,000th time.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care... (and milk and cookies for Santa and the reindeer).

Here's the only photo I got from Christmas day - KK passed out on the floor after a llllooonnggg day of fun.

Kenley loved the whole holiday season, including getting the tree and decorating the house, seeing Christmas lights outside, visiting the Bellevue Botanical Gardens to see their lights, making and decorating cookies, going on the Christmas ships, etc etc.  She played with all the presents under our tree and had them organized and memorized whose was who long before the big day actually came.  On Christmas eve, she was so excited for Santa she and daddy checked the Santa Tracker to see where he was.  When she learned he was close, she called to me, "Mama, I must get to bed, Santa is almost here!" and went to bed faster than she ever has before.  Luckily she slept to the reasonable hour of 7am before getting up for the excitement.  She then made us power through opening all the presents with no breaks.  Lily, Jason, and Michal joined us at Bebe and Papa's house and Kenley did a great job sharing Lily's presents with her and helping her open everything.  We all were spoiled with lots of great gifts from all our family and friends - thank you all!!
