8 Months - Bebe and Grandpa are Here!
Bebe and Grandpa Bert are finally here!! We did lots of fun things this weekend, including going to the pool, running errands getting stuff for mom and dad's house, painting the dining room, and hitting the batting cages!
Kenley is 8 months old now! This week she has been experimenting with all kinds of consonant sounds, including M, N, T, D, B, G, and Y. Now her chatter has turned into something like, "da da ba ga ta ta ba." She is still not crawling but she can scoot herself around, and she pulled herself up to standing using a toy for the first time today - and likes to do it in the bath tub as well - uh oh! Don't worry, Papa Richard, we'll drop the crib level down asap! :) She is also suddenly more interested in food, and we have started giving her "table food." She's been experimenting with rice, pasta, bagels, bread, and all kinds of veggies and fruits. It is fun to have family dinner together with every eating the same thing!
She is also getting big! She is very long and I think skinny, although Michael thinks she is plumping up a little more. Here are some photos of Kenley and the pink bear! Compare how big she is to the six month pics here!
