14 Weeks: Second Trimester, First Centering Group, and Peanut Clothes!
Well, we made it to the second trimester!! Here are some fun things that have been happening lately.
First of all, Rachel's mom sent Peanut his or her first clothes, along with the beautiful blanket she made. Aren't they so cute???? I had to resist playing with them and put them away in the closet. Michael is very excited about them although he won't admit it.

Also this week we had our first Centering Group! At Centering, we basically do our monthly checkups with our midwives with a group of 8 other pregnant women and their baby daddies. Its a combination of doctor's visits and mom-to-be group in one! We had a great time at our first appointment. We did all our measurements, etc, and we listened to Peanut's heartbeat (Yay!). Then we met all the other families and learned about them, and chatted about our questions and concerns about pregnancy. The other families are really great, mostly all from the Ballard area, all due in August (we are the last due date, a few of the girls are due Aug. 1), and probably mostly a few years older than we are. Everyone is pregnant with their first babies! I especially like that one woman is a labor and delivery nurse at Swedish (both capitol hill and ballard!) and another is a dietician. We are excited to get to know them better, although everyone will look different when we see them a month from now!
Last bit of news is that we celebrated our other baby, TJ's 4th birthday last week, marking two years that he's been with us. We spent the day getting extra quality snuggles in. Maybe we can get extra credit now for when the baby comes later!

Happy Birthday, TJ!!! Poor cat, he doesn't even know what's coming. :)
